The act is based on pre-legislative work by the Marketing Practices Act Committee. The committee consisted of 15 members from consumer and industry organisations as well as authorities. The Competition and Consumer Authority provided the chair of the committee.
Parliament passes new Marketing Practices Act
Today, the Danish Parliament has adopted a new Marketing Practices Act with the aim of improving the competitive conditions for companies and providing a sound framework for consumers. The Marketing Practices Act will enter into force on 1 July 2017.
