On 16 November 2017, the High Court in Denmark upheld a sentence from the City Court of Glostrup. The sentence means that Metro Cash & Carry Danmark A/S must pay a fine of DKK 50,000 (€ 6,720) for withholding information in a merger case.

The Danish Agriculture and Food council (in Danish “Landbrug & Fødevarer”) has adjusted its planned reorganisation of the DanBred (in Danish “DanAvl”) system. The adjustments remove the preliminary competition concerns that originally caused the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority (“DCCA”) to open an investigation. The DCCA has therefore decided to close the case.

The Competition Council has decided that there is no basis for repealing Nykredit's 2003 commitment regarding a price cap on administration margins, which is paid to Nykredit in addition to interest on mortgage loans. At the same time, the Council has decided that new commitments (commitments A and B) can replace the initial commitment from 2003
