The Competition and Consumer Authority’s tasks in the public procurement area

Legislative work
Among other things, the Competition and Consumer Authority is tasked with carrying out preparatory work within the area of public procurement law. The authority participates in the EU cooperation and undertakes the implementation of EU procurement rules into Danish law. In this regard, an important part of the Authority's work is ensuring a Danish fingerprint on future procurement rules, including ensuring clear rules and flexible procurement processes.

Guidelines
An important part of the Competition and Consumer Authority’s work is providing procuring entities and tenderers with guidelines on how procurement rules should be interpreted and applied.

Questions about procurement rules
We do not provide specific guidance over the phone. This means that you cannot, for example, get an answer as to whether an agency is to be regarded as subject to public law, whether a particular offer is non-conditional or which CPV code you should use in the procurement of a particular service.

You can find information on procurement rules under "procurement rules".

Analyses of public competition
The Competition and Consumer Authority continuously prepares analyses of competition for public contracts. Among other things, the Authority has prepared a status of public competition in 2016.

Guideline on PPP
If you have any questions about public-private partnerships (PPPs) or the PPP standard model, you can e-mail the Competition and Consumer Authority’s PPP point of contact at OPPkontaktpunkt@kfst.dk.

Udbud.dk
The Competition and Consumer Authority provides a secretariat service for udbud.dk, where public authorities can publish tenders. In this regard, an important part of the Authority's work is to answer questions about the use of udbud.dk.

If you have any questions about the procurement rules, you can telephone the Competition and Consumer Authority on +45 41 71 50 00.

If you have any questions about the use of udbud.dk or if you find an error on udbud.dk, please contact the Competition and Consumer Authority at udbud.dk@kfst.dk.

International cooperation
The Competition and Consumer Authority participates at international level in various collaborations where procurement rules are considered, e.g. the PPN network and the EU's advisory committee on public contracts.
