Do Behaviorally Informed Pop-up Messages Curb Problematic Gambling Behavior?

Consumers increasingly gamble online and problematic gambling behavior is on the rise.

There is an interest in using online interventions on gambling sites to reduce problems with execissive gambling in using online interventions on gambling sites to curb problem gambling. This article outlines results from two large field experiments designed to test the effects of behaviorally informed information remedies.

The article concludes that none of the interventions significantly reduced how much players spend, measured by turnover, on the platform.
